Men On A Mission Podcast
Men on a Mission is a men's mental health podcast hosted by Peter Iglesias. No performance. No pretending. Just men talking honestly.
Peter sits down with therapists, pastors, doctors, first responders, coaches and everyday men for full, long-form conversations about the things most men carry alone: mental health, physical health, faith, money, marriage, fatherhood and purpose.

Bad breakup? A few more hours at the office. Dad's sick? Work a little more. Daniel Rubin says that isn't dedication. For most men, work is how they numb out.
Peter sits down with Daniel Rubin, a licensed therapist who runs an intensive outpatient program built only for men, for his second time on the show. Recorded the day after the Men on a Mission Foundation launched, the conversation picks up where Episode 007 left off: why most men only get to therapy because a wife or a boss noticed first, why there's no one-and-done fix ("you needed like 4,000 cries since you were four"), and what happens when the one thing a man leans on gets taken away.
Daniel is open about his own recovery. Peter is open about the five years he spent depressed without a name for it. They also get into retirement, why "money won't make you happy" never lands until you've had it, OnlyFans and AI girlfriends, and the 15 minutes most men refuse to spend looking at a tree.
Men on a Mission is hosted by Peter Iglesias. Mental health, physical health, financial health, relationships. Full conversations, not highlight reels.

Eric was having a stroke on the gym floor and did not know it. Storm read the signs, said we're calling 911 on you right now, and made the call. His neurosurgeon later told him that another 30 minutes and he would not have made it.
Peter sits down with Eric Jacobowitz, a firefighter paramedic in Broward County, an International Association of Fire Fighters peer support counselor, and a software engineer, to talk about what happened after the emergency ended. The dark stretch nobody sees. The spiral. The two month wait for a psychiatrist. And the discovery that the man everybody calls in a crisis had no idea who to call himself.

Most men think the pain is theirs alone. It isn't. It moves into the house, and everyone in it starts living around it.
Peter sits down with Josh Gordon, owner of Relax and Get Results, who worked on Peter's own recovery after spinal surgery a couple of years ago. 26 years in practice, four offices, clients ranging from UFC fighters and NFL players to people in their 90s still doing CrossFit. They get into what untreated pain does to a man's mood and then to his family, why so many men wait until they can't move, the day Josh found out what his hands could do while his mother was dying, and the real reason a lot of men actually book the hour.

Most men don't stay quiet because nobody told them to open up. They stay quiet because they tried it once and it cost them something.
Peter sits down with Catherine Lavern Rubin, a therapist who specialises in relationships, to talk about what actually holds two people together. What both partners have to be willing to do, the gap between what you mean and what you actually say, why we hang on to pain that feels familiar, where boundaries fit in, and why therapy is almost never what men picture it to be.
Men on a Mission is hosted by Peter Iglesias. Mental health, physical health, financial health, relationships. Full conversations, not highlight reels.

Mobbing is bullying by a group, and most of the people living through it don't have a word for it.
Alicia spent years as a head of marketing and communications before she walked away from a job she couldn't stay in. Around the same time she worked out her daughter was going through almost exactly the same thing at school. She now leads a movement to name it and stop it, working with employees, students and athletes, and training leaders to spot it before it does real damage.
Peter had never heard the term before this conversation. It turns out to reach men, women and children, and it costs organisations far more than most leaders think.

Dr. Dean Fishman is the chiropractor who named Text Neck. He coined the term in 2009 after seeing the cervical curve of a 17 year old reversed on an X-ray, the kind of wear he was used to seeing in middle aged patients, and he went on to found the Text Neck Institute.
Peter sits down with him to talk about what modern life is doing to men's bodies. Posture, joint mobility, sleep position, nutrition, why pain medication treats the wrong end of the problem, and why you can't feel any of this until a symptom finally shows up.

Daniel Rubin is a licensed mental health counsellor with more than 15 years in men's mental health, trauma and emotional wellness. He founded Transcend Counseling and Consulting, where he runs an intensive outpatient program built only for men.
That last part is rarer than it sounds, and it is most of what this conversation is about. What changes when a man is in a room with other men who are carrying the same thing. Why the ones who look most fine are often the ones drinking a litre of scotch a night. What happens after the first two thoughts every man has walking in, which are usually how did I get here, and then, I'm okay.
Peter and Daniel get into financial pressure, presence, talking to your partner, and why healing one man tends to change everyone standing near him.

Doug Scott went into a Forever Young clinic as a patient, had the labs done, found out he was deficient, and it changed enough that he ended up buying into the business. He has worked in bioidentical hormone therapy, weight loss and peptide therapy since 2017.
Peter, who is a patient himself, asks him the questions most men in their 40s and 50s never get around to asking. What the labs actually show. What peptides do and don't do. Why most doctors wait for something to break instead of looking earlier. What alcohol is quietly doing on the inside. And the daily routine Doug built around sleep, training and prayer.
Peter is a patient of Forever Young and has no ownership or financial interest in it. This is a personal account, not a paid promotion. Nothing here is medical advice. Talk to your own doctor before starting any hormone or peptide protocol.

Eli Hastings has been a psychotherapist for 15 years, holds a master's in applied psychology and works mostly with complex trauma. He got there sideways, starting out as a teaching artist helping people resolve trauma through storytelling.
His argument here isn't the one you'd expect from a therapist. He thinks a lot of what gets labelled trauma isn't, that genuine chemical imbalance accounts for a small minority of cases, and that a large part of his own industry is content to run standard protocols for years without ever reaching the root of anything.
Peter pushes back, and they get into faith, roles in relationships, why Eli doesn't buy the toxic masculinity framing, and what happens when a man goes looking for help and finds nobody willing to work with him.

Peter left the studio for this one and recorded at Freakin Fitness in Weston, Florida, with a panel of men who built something there: Storm Kaufman, Logan Kaufman, Patrick Neeley and Amar Ravi.
The gym is the setting, not the subject. What they actually talk about is what happens to a man who has somewhere to show up, people who notice when he doesn't, and a reason to keep his word to somebody. Physical health feeding the emotional and spiritual kind. How camaraderie gets built rather than announced. Why phones and social media are quietly eating the thing that makes any of it work.
Also: raising kids who are sharper than we give them credit for, the exhaustion nobody admits to, and the first question one of them asks anyone he hires.
